Virginia Cosgrove is Director of Cross-Cultural Ministries, Inc. and pastor of The Beacon International Church. She has ministered in the “International Village” along the Buford Highway corridor since 1994 with the exception of 2 years when she was Director for Leadership Training International, Virginia Beach, VA. In 2002, she returned to Atlanta to pastor an international church. In 2006, Cross-Cultural Ministries appointed her as Director.
Virginia grew up in Columbus, GA, is a 2000 graduate of Beulah Heights University, and is ordained through Harvest Network International. She worked in various businesses before starting her own accounting business, has assisted in setting up 3 marketing corporations, was a department manager for Christian Financial Concepts, served with Youth with a Mission for 2 years, and has been on short-term missions in Russia and the Philippines.
Virginia is a widow with one married daughter and two grandchildren.
Her passion is to take Christ to the people, whoever and wherever they are, and to see them grow in Christ, established in His Word, and knowing His plans and purposes for them. Her love for Christ compels her to go to the international community in the United States. She desires to inspire and assist the local churches to go into their community to impact and transform it. Her prayer is that others will become witnesses for Christ to the lost, saved, churched, and unchurched.
Sandee Sledd grew up in a bilingual home of second-generation immigrant parents. She was saved at age 12 and began teaching children at age 15. She graduated from Pittsburgh Business College with a degree in Business Administration and from Beulah Heights University with an emphasis in biblical education. Her post-graduate studies and certification include Community Chaplaincy, Facilitator certification for Confident Kids and Children are People, and certification through Rainbows of Hope International, completing the courses for Children in Crisis and Street Children.
Sandee is involved with missionaries working with children in third world countries. She has published several articles for international publications and has taught children's workers in several countries.
Sandee and her late husband were foster parents for high-risk children and teens for 25 years. They were co-founders of a boys’ home and vocational training school in Jamaica. Sandee served as a support group facilitator for children and their parents in a large church in Atlanta for a number of years.
Sandee joined CCM in 1998 and serves as a child advocate for children in the community and schools. She assists with tutoring, mentoring, and spiritual training and assists families facing a crises. Her passion is to pastor the hearts of children, to guide them to understand "Whose" they are and to choose to live the abundant life provided for in the grace and love of our Lord.
Sandee’s pride and joy are her two adult children.
Gladys was a librarian and teacher for 40 years, retiring in 2004 as the Children’s Librarian at the South Georgia Regional Library, Valdosta, GA. She has been a volunteer in adult literacy and English as a Second Language programs since 1986, serving as tutor and tutor-trainer in both programs. While a tutor-trainer, Gladys served on the board of the literacy organization in Valdosta.
She also led ESOL programs in migrant camps in south Georgia, working with both Hispanic and Haitian workers. Gladys has taught students from places as diverse as China, Poland, Chile, Korea, Thailand, Pakistan, Ecuador, and Turkey.
Currently, Gladys works with Cross-Cultural Ministries as coordinator and lead instructor in the ESOL program and as a weekly volunteer reader at Cary Reynolds Elementary School.
She is a graduate of Troy University and Florida State University. Gladys was reared in Columbus, GA., where she has re-established residency since retirement. Gladys is a widow with an adult son.
Cross-Cultural Ministries, Inc. has a Board of Directors and is in the process of establishing its Board of Reference.
