Volunteer
Opportunities to be a part in changing and impacting lives are almost limitless. What is needed to make a difference in the lives of immigrant children and their families is YOU and your time. As little as 2 to 3 hours a month means that you are impacting lives for now and generations to come. You do not know what a difference you can make.
Volunteer Opportunties:
- After-school program
- Homework assistance on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
- Time: 2:00-4:30 PM
- Assisting elementary students with homework
- Once or twice a week or once a month
- Special tutoring
- Tutoring in phonics, reading comprehension or math. 4:30-5:30 PM on Monday or Tuesday
- English instruction & homework assistance at 5 PM on Wednesday
- Bible Club
- Time 2:00 - 4:30 PM every Friday
- Assist weekly or less often, such as once or twice a month
- English Classes for Adults
- Assist or lead a class for adults
- Current sessions are held on Sunday afternoons, Monday evenings, Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings
- Youth groups
- Enrichment activities, wordays and outreaches
- Church-wide work days and outreaches
Miscellaneous Opportunities:
- Social services & Friendship to Elderly Cambodians
- Medical issues: transportation, phone calls, and forms completed
- Provide social outing, a lunch at Wend's or transportation to get a haircut
- Office assistance
